An hilarious send up of the current ruling class using the technique of one ruling class member writing about today’s ruling class concerns to another ruling class member. Although the tone is serious, the content is a hoot. Consider this example: “If we’re not careful, another New Deal-style uprising will trim our sails, reducing all our investment risk-taking to robber baron greed. And yes, more GOP nomination goon shows, flush with charlatans, hypocrites, flip-floppers, celebrities, and un-housebroken know-nothings, only to keep Obama in the White House. Can you believe our guy Romney is getting elbowed out by the self-serving, self-absorbed, self defeating assassin called Newt Gingrich?” Spend the time reading ... More »

A man of great taste and distinction. Some people don’t get my jokes, even though I hardly consider them subtle. But it is always a pleasure to be appreciated. You may want to check out some other satires, including a neat poem on Obama, staged after To His Coy Mistress. ... More »

Not at all -- far more is missed than included about a big problem This utterly fails to explain why 95% of well-funded and fully staffed politicians lie, having nothing to do with gossip or unintentional deception. Talk about blaming the victim, here the average joe. Pols lie because they can -- and corrections are too little, too late, having gotten the meteoric headline they seek. It's all about theatre and momentary attention spans, and politicians aren't sending false emails but making wrongheaded national declarations on national TV. Bad piece, focussing on the 5% overlap and missing the 95% that matters
