I have been a student of America politics for nearly fifty years but find the current period one of the most interesting.
In that politics reflects life, the current American plotical scene show how divided American society has become.
In many ways the present state of America mirrors that of the Roman Empire in its declining years.
I troll newspapers, blogs, newsletters etc to try and gain a representative picture of American life.
I am also interested in medical research and the lastest research in science.

A typical 'negative' spin, now pervasive in American politics.

This story fails to show the 'big picture'. Namely, that the FDA is supposed to judge medicines pirely on facts, it is up to Congress to make decisions that are political. However, this may be a 'moral' issues inwhich case it is up to the individual to decided for themselves the choices they make.
