The Israel lobby is a powerful and effective interest group whose goals are not necessarily in the best interest of the US, but this topic is seldom openly debated. This review reveals how discussion of a book attempting to broach the subject is being suppressed. Having the book reviewed in the NY Times is a positive development.
It gives a very good analysis of the problem, understandable by a layman. Relies only on its own polling for data. Some opinions of other authorities would have been helpful.
The writer illustrates that these images can be posted for a variety of reasons, and lets the reader deal with the issue of whether military consorship is good or bad.
Not in depth coverage, but clearly illustrates Rumsfeld lying, and calls it a lie. More like that is needed.
It puts things in perspective, and there should be more articles like it. On the negative side, I'd like to be told where the 15% popularity figure came from.
