This trend has been ongoing for three decades, and the mainstream media have been slow to pick up on it. Perhaps Vanity Fair will give it some traction. Here is my last-year’s effort to rouse our brethren: http://tinyurl.com/27qt3al

This reporter understands the precession of the equinoxes, the so-called "wobble" in the earth's orbit that causes the very long-term climate changes. I read three newspapers this morning, and all of their stories on this study read as if the writer did not understand the phenomenon. The resulting sidestepping leaves the reader unable to understand it either. Where are the science writers of yesteryear?
