As journalism this is silly, Fox news didn't carry the story until after it had been around for several days. The point of the VIDEO was to show NAACP attendees supporting her earlier racist views towards white people. The real story is how fast this White House will turn on their own without any investigation. The ACORN child prostitution story has never been shown to be inaccurate, she needs to check her facts. No wonder Maddow has about the worst ratings of any journalist around.

Its very slanted and left out the real groundswell for Brown's Candidacy. Nor did it mention the gap between the two parties is now under 9%, which is unheard of in Massachusetts. Kennedy would win by more than double that.

If Brown gets more than 35% in Mass..its almost viewed as an upset here. Coakley is, among many Democrats, not well liked and in the primary many Independents voted for other Dems to try and keep her out, now it seems they are now willing to vote Republican. Coakly will likely win, but by short margins for Mass. Were the election held in 11 months, she would likely lose along with the removal of Dodd and many others.

A well done article reflective of the new reality regarding the earths needs for energy. Good explanations of relative costs and what countries are interested in developement and or increasing their copacity.

Atomic energy is clearly a more effective source of consistant energy 24 hours a day than Solar or Wind... which can be at best a minor augmentation to the former.

A cogent well written look into the realitys of finding a balance between jobs, politics and reality in the aftermath of the BP mess in the gulf. With sagging Pol numbers Mr. Obama is dealing with a growing chorus accusing him of not being engaged on the spill, wanting to appear environmentally sensitive, tough on "Bi Businees" and finding ways NOT to make the mess worse by eliminating jobs.

Until the US takes genuine steps towards alternative forms of enegery i.e alot more than windmills and solar panels...petrolium and coal will remain our primary power sources, Natrual Gas which we have in huge quaniities (more than the Saudis have in oil) and Nuclear, these will give us our biggest metaphorical bang for the buck folloowed down the road by Solar. Wind power has too many issues against it.

The headline implies a solution to the worlds energy demands being re-directed to a non oil source by 2050...and then gives no hint of what will replace it or how? Their are minor few points on the merits of energy efficient cars..and suggested the goverment should help low income drivers to buy cars. The article also failed to mentionm what these cares will run on..if oil is done by 2050?

The article completely failed to support it's title..or were their a few more pages I missed?

Huffington did a great job of showing how, with so many massive financial regulatory issues facing us, DC can major in minor rubbish still. Perhaps they'll table a resolution to color code the velvet ropes in the bank lobbys. Harkin needs to retire...he has obviously lost it.

A very good story, offers a few time lines and perspectives of FBI operatives, detainees and how they were treated. reading between the lines is tough.. The upshot is its going to be hard to clarify what happened exactly.

The article points out the implausible assertion that these guys all started talking after "Traditional Interrogation Methods". ? This kind of stuff I find VERY unlikely...but "For The Record" i guess they have to record it that way.

The writer does a good job illustrating the growing concerns over Pakistan's assurances regarding the security of their Nuclear Arsenal and why the White House is worried. THe Arsenal is dispersed and the US wants to know where just in case things fall apart.

Hillary needs to be very aggressive in convincing the Pakistanis to work with the west. A very big mess perhaps in the making.

A very well written piece with multiple views from various angles on Mr. Obama's start, daily schedule, challenges and comparisons. Loads of sources, well assembled from politicians to well regarded historians. A very good read.

At this point nothing can be said other than, it is clear his intentions are good and his integrity is in tact. When the results start surfacing this conversation will have a "B" side. While I didn't vote for him, he is ALL of ours President, I truly would rather the have the pleasure in saying I was wrong, than I was right. After all a good result regardless of source is always preferable.

A very well and passionately written piece by the chief of the CIA's Osama bin Laden unit about this past week. Written from his perspective with a very deep understanding of Islamic Terrorism. Evocative reading.

While some might not agree with him, I do, no thinking person can over look his perspective. As Obama said this week.."this is going to make your jobs a lot tougher"..which means waterboarding works....

An interesting lead in, but lacked any stats, numbers, herd estimates, amount of land encroachment inside the park? It mentions migrations, but doesn't discuss changes in that population.

Much more could been written here..this is an important story and just didn't go far enough.

A reasonably well sourced look back at the steps taken and not taken when the CIA was getting it's marching orders on interrogation. The newness for them all is very apparent, and how they dealt with it was an exercise of difficult pros and cons. The premise of the article seems irrelevant, in the end a sidebar to the issue.

I think looking back is very easy to do, but having been in Washington and around some of the players at the time was very tough. These people despite the hyperbole in today's news, were doing the best they could with what they knew and believed. This included Dems. and Rep., both sides of the aisle..were in it together.

Offers some good insight into what may have or may not have happened prior to the actionable-approval memos for enhanced interrogations. Offers and examines numerous angles and approaches proposed. Well written with adequate quotes.

I would have been very surprised were not these preparations not made during this time. As time goes by, the brutality and horror of the attacks seem for many to have lessened. While many bemoan the use of coercion, in our hearts we would applaud it if it saved American lives. Today the Obama White House and yesterday the CIA both said agressive methods we beneficial, despite some popular wisdom to the contrary.

A well done accurate view of the seedy side of Craigs List. Not unlike many other similar wide range networking sites, just the biggest of its type. Good explanation of how it functions, the dangers are obvious as well...

Interestingly, in the Boston community their is a rumor that Phillip Markoff also ran his own ads on Craig's list soliciting "Generous Men" for sexual favors as well...what a piece of work.

"I think that we cannot underscore the seriousness of the existential threat posed to the state of Pakistan by continuing advances, now within hours of Islamabad, that are being made by a loosely confederated group of terrorists and others who are seeking the overthrow of the Pakistani state, a nuclear armed state," Clinton said in Washington.

The story confirms the headline of the article, names names and is very specific about what and how it was learned. The Editor and Chief of CBS News wrote it.. Good detail and new piece for the debate. NYT also confirms via the Obama's White House the accuracy of the story..food for thought..

In particular, the CIA believes that it would have been unable to obtain critical information from numerous detainees, including KSM and Abu Zubaydah, without these enhanced techniques,” kinda say it all..

President Obama’s national intelligence director told colleagues in a private memo last week that the harsh interrogation techniques banned by the White House did produce ... More »

An interesting and evocative article. Thes resistance by Pakistan to be held to any accountabilty is truly interesting. Good information and set the solid backdrop for moving forward.

Its very obvious that Pakistan is slipping into a Taliban run state. Their resebntment of having to account for their Government Welfare from us..is absurd. The US should get MUCH MUCH MUCH tougher. Deception is obvious here by them.

Pakistan will become the first Nuclear Armed Islamic extremist/terrorist country on earth. While we frittered and continue to fritter away our time on N. Korea and Iran...the country that HAS NUKES has been co-opted.

Another article on the Tea Party that utterly missed the point. Falty analysis throughout hampered by static thinking on just what was going on.

If the Media would stop Politicizing and trying to pigeon hole the motivations and composition of these gatherings they MIGHT get it. As an aside...folks like Oberman and Mathews NEVER will understand this, their personal prejudices and own agendas preclude it.

Very factual, loaded with numbers, percentages and rationals behind the tax system. Illustrates clearly the inherent unfairness of the current system. THe auther could have linked this inequity to the Tea Protests this past week...part and parcel.

It makes a joke of the 90% of all tax payers will get a CUT...seeing as they pay virtually nothing anyway..how much can you cut? I heard some people are getting a whopping $11.00 more a week..

Another shot across the bow of Pakistan's President ,highlighting the flourishing powers of the Taliban and Maulana Abdul Aziz. Points out clearly how fast time IS running out. Sharia LAw mixed with hatred is the spark..

The Swat Valley has been turned over and soon, very soon, Pakistan will fall. I am amazed the US is wasting it's time pondering N. Korea and Iran? The whole game is Pakistan, clearly the most pressing by far. Islamic Terrorists and Militants ALWAYS do what they say they will, ALWAYS. Idle threats are not in their vocabularies.
