I follow Latin America politics a lot... I have actually covered it a lot. I had never heard that Bolivia was the Saudi Arabia of Lithium, which should be in the title of the story. Today, Bolivia lives out of gas exports, mostly to Brazil. The gas resources are in the land occupied by the mostly white elite and the new Constitution gives provinces a lot of power. These lithium resources, according to the story, are in the North, Native-Bolivian country. If exports increase, that would drastically change the internal balance of power, something the story fails to mention.

I cannot agree with the former reviewer. Although it is true most of the quotes come from the military, the other side of the matter is clearly presented. If the US decides on investing in reshaping its nuclear weaponry, Russia and Iran will immediately start doing the same.
