Member (since September 2010)My biggest passion is writing; I love to gather my eccentric ideas and put them together into a story. I have been published a few times in my high school newspaper and in an issue of TeenInk in January 2007. I'm currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno majoring in journalism so I can learn how to share my remarkable tales with the world. Later, I'm going to major in mortuary science because the human body and death fascinate me. I joined News Trust for a journalism project, but I think I'll stop by more often for myself since it's a fun website to see what articles are true or not. Other than that, I'm a free-spirited woman who enjoys life who has challenging goals to achieve.
This article was mostly about what people are trying to do to get the DREAM Act passed, but the author listed significant sources and I learned something new out of this. I never knew that California had their own DREAM Network to support. The author has also interviewed significant people who have brought up some great points for this issue and it flowed with the story well.
When I read this article, I felt that there were very fishy pieces of information. Majority of this information was very biased and opinion-based. The author only gathered information of the views he agreed with, which is against the DREAM Act. There are no quotes from people who are for the DREAM Act whatsoever. Here is a quote from this article that I found fishy: "That’s why millions of citizens called, phoned and faxed their representatives in Washington DC. ... More »
If somebody wants to know what is currently going on with the DREAM Act plan, this is the article to read. I saw this article more of a brief summary of what's currently happening with the DREAM Act because there wasn't too much of sources and nobody knows what is going to happen next so it's a summary of what is going on with the issue for now.
This article is worth reviewing because it's a good example of a bias. There are barely any sources and most of the comments are negative about the DREAM Act; therefore, it is an opinionated column.
I think this article is an informative story although the Vice President of DREAM Act, Angela Kelly, was quite opinionated. It was factual because I learned more about what else is going on with this subject and what other people may think of it. This story is very detailed and Hayes uses a decent source for information.

Although this article is an opinionated article on supporting the DREAM Act, the author had argumentative points supporting his article like how it would be fair for an illegal alien having a drive for a successful future just like Americans. What I also noticed in this article was that the author wasn't bashing on the Republicans' views. Articles I read about opposing the DREAM Act would just bash on the illegal people and Democrats and using quotes from others that also oppose it. ... More »
