I have a strong interest in what is happening in the World; especially in the US. I am very supportive of orgs that try to improve the Earth's chance of sustaining Life- and the many species it takes for balance. I do not believe that humans are the Web of Life, but simply one strand of the Web. We destroy strands of the Web at our own peril. From my short experience with News Trust, I believe the majority of people taking part in this site share the same interests and concern.

I wonder how many jets are sitting in/around the DC area, with shifts of round-the-clock pilots, ready to take off at a moment's notice for S. America or other 'safe' hideouts.
