I like the story. It's from the debriefing of a med seargent who was in care of Saddam for some time. Not much background, but interesting anecdotical read from a person who had to do with him first hand on a daily basis.
Informative background about the recent moratorium and break on the death penalty in three states. Good background, rather balanced (slightly in favor of doing away with capital punishment).
Opinioned article about why google is held to higher standards than most companies and what they should do. Not much background or research or something, more like a typical blog post.
Interesting "behind the scenes" article about older people being porn stars and exploring the reasons why. Reasonably informative without voyeurism.
First hand recall from someone who followed the Saddam trial in place (from the press gallery) and remembering how Saddam appeared to him as a person/human under these circumstances. Good read and if only because you won't read about him often from people who actually got to see him with their own eyes.
Article about housing project expelling smoking residents, leaning into the direction (through irony and selection of quotes) of that this is going too far.
Essentially the story says: "We saw this video where this hacker claims to have cracked AACS" but we also don't know more than anybody else. There is a bit of background (from the past) but at this time nobody knows more than what's shown in the vid. Could be true, could be fake. But I like the two closing paragraphs in the artciel (about the irony).
Decent coverage of the execution, but has little to do with the catchy headline, besides the fact that it mentiones without further explanation, something that may fit the headline or not (his last words are offered without translation).
Story about why bars offering free drinks and easy entry to attractive women. Hardly any information that you didn't suspect anyway and no conclusions that a 10 year old couldn't draw by himself.
Short (7 paragraph) article about a government campaign in Korea. Typical "what happened in the rest of world" style thing. More entertaining than informative.
Blown up news snippet. Basically if you read the headline, you know it all. Beyond that, there's nothing much there.
A bit of background about the possible demission of the Miss USA. There are some quotes from unidentified sources behind the scenes and a generally balanced view. In fact surprisingly much information about such a non-event
