This is an interesting piece that gives a true perspective of just how much the Hispanic population is growing. It does seem like it is one-sided and from "a Latino's" perspective.
This is good journalism. It i newsworthy, of significance in the Baltimore community and is especially well-written in that it gives readers a good sense of the case at hand.
This article, written by Olesker, is an interesting piece of significant newsworthiness. It is well-written, compelling and makes for an interesting piece. It is certainly an opinion piece yet it also gives readers a chance to understand and get a feel for the way the court case played out.

This is good journalism for various reasons. The quotes from different sources are all first-hand and give great depth to the story. There was excellent use of numbers to back up claims and the format was spot on as well, starting and wraping up the Malaney's story. Well done.

For the most part, this is not good journalism. For one, the sources are all second-hand, as that is quite telling on the type of quality this piece was going to bring to the table. It is also quite problematic because an article that, in the title, specifically makes mention of Obama's visit, is seldom touched upon in the actual piece. With the exception of the second to last line, there was little to nothing to be learned from the piece. It would have also been nice to here the other side of the story, or perhaps get some more in-depth background information on the conflict at hand. A lot of work needs to be done with the article.

No, it is not good journalism. I believe this to be the case because it fails to give both sides of the story. It is also a story that fails to integrate meaningful quotes. It is evident that this reporter found quality sources and wrote a newsworthy pierce in timely fashion, yet the quality of the writing and quotes used is somewhat poor.

It is an excellent news story that is has the elements of a strong article. The sources are credible and the information is well used. Very enjoyable read.
