There was hardly any proof to the claims. I have no idea how big of a problem suicide is there or how they can prove the crops failing is the reason for it without more sources. The government was attacked by a farmer's quote, but nowhere in the story is a government official quoted or is noted that they even tried to contact them.
The story is compelling; it paints a vivid picture of what is going on in Mexico City. I would like to read more details about the over-all situation, though.
I think the article was fair because it showed different points of view. The subject itself doesn't seem very deep though.
I think this article is quality journalism because more than one study was used and also the study and who participated in it was explained to the reader. I also thought it was newsworthy and well written.
The article was very thorough and did not seem biased. It was visually dynamic with graphs and variation between paragraphs and bullet points making it easier to understand.
I think the article was well researched but it seems a little one sided. I agree with the mood that NCLB isn't the best, but I feel like it is such a big topic that there is a lot more to know about it. Also, there was a sentence or two about how being smart was perceived as not cool in pop culture, but the claim seemed irrelevant and was not backed up in anyway.
It seems to be factual, but I don't like the constant "see article" everywhere. Couldn't there just be some paraphrasing. It was used too excessively.
