With the Smoking Gun it's always, "Just the facts, m'am," (OK, with some often snarky comments in the lead-in pieces) with public records reprinted and linked. My question is still why no one's asked Mr Limbaugh why he thought the chance of getting caught with a bottle of Viagra with a hinky lable would afford him more privacy than a bottle with his own scrip.

An attempt to defend the continued detentions at Guantanamo, arguing from the perspective that we are involved in a conventional "war" against a conventional enemy, as opposed to a method.

FactCheck gives us an early example of how far political campaigning has fallen, with a Democrat issuing "a falsehood", and his Democrat opponent replying with inaccuracies. Well sourced, as always, and with FactCheck, you get what's advertised: facts checked and presented alongside the original.

PBS Frontline examines Cheney's place in recent history. Very well sourced, with a strong historical context. The TV program (available online on 6/22 at 5 PM et) is Frontline at its best, and the website provides lots of background.

While this is a local story, the implications seem to reach much wider. Well sourced with good info from both sides, tho I'm left with the question of whether prosecutors gave the kids the option of proving they used the walkout to protest, as seems to be implied by Capt. Ryle, or if they were simply told they broke the law and the best thing to do was plead out.

The Monitor's Terrorism & Security e-mail updates service is a consistently excellent source of story links and analysis. This article covers the Haditha incident and draws from AP, the Guardian and the LA Times, among others, to present a (typically) balanced and comprehensive story.

Malkin throws out lies and truths and partial truths mixed with invectiveto such an extent and at such a rate as to make it difficult to distinguish anything real from what she pulls out of thin air. The deliberate Straussian misdirection she and most of her neo-con sources tend to pursue in their writing doesn't help.
