I really enjoyed this article, I just wish there was more supporting information, especially because it is an editorial piece. I believe that more links and quotes would help to strengthen Krulak and Hoar's claims.

I definitely agree with the authors. I believe that what the US considers "interrogation tactics," are inexcusable and wrong. Torturing someone will not necessarily bring out the truth.

Torture is as likely to produce lies as the truth. And it did. More »

Not only did I find this article to be extremely interesting. I loved the use of quotes and the authors ability to back up his claims. However, I would have liked to see more linking in the website to sites of the organizations he the author discussed.

I personally am disappointed by Main's vote on this topic. I am a supporter of gay rights, especially the right to marry. I just wish that voters would see that everyone should have the right to marry who they love.

“It will light a fire under activists and be a reminder that we all had our right to marry taken away in California,” More »

This article is an excellent example of quality journalism. It is well sourced and well written. Tim Arango did an exceptional job of showing the big picture while still keeping the reading interesting and compelling.

I found this topic very interesting. Though I've always felt that the internet shouldn't been governed too strictly, I would definitely agree with the F.T.C.'s movement to make bloggers disclose their biases. Because of the sort of trust bond that bloggers and their readers have, I believe it is important for the bloggers who review products to show what may or may not be influencing them.

I found this article really interesting. I haven't heard much about the "Birther Movement" so this was a good starting point. However, it was very one sided, and slightly sarcastic. These qualities gave the article more of an editorial opinion piece rather than a hard news story.

Personally, I believe that the Birther Movement is ridiculous. However, I still found this article interesting. In my eyes, the movement is like a train wreck: It's terrible, but I can't look away.

I found this article to be very informative and interesting. Mary Foster's writing is very concise and to the point, while giving enough information about the story to keep the readers hooked. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this story.

I can't believe that in the year 2009 a government official would refuse to marry a biracial couple. I think it's disgusting that, after a black man has been elected president, and after the American people bragging about how far we've gotten in civil rights, that this man has been able to continue to hold his position. It isn't like he's only been in office for a year, but he has reigned for 34 years. I certainly agree with the calls to him to resign.

During a time where any article pertaining to the health care reform revolve around the happenings in the White House, this article is a breath of fresh air. It was a very interesting look into what actions the health insurance companies may do in order to continue to "cherry-pick" their customers. Altogether, I genuinely enjoyed this article. I felt that the author put a lot of time and dedication into creating it. It was well-sourced and thought provoking. I definitely agreed and understood many of his points: no matter what the White House may do, the agencies will find their own ways to drive away the sick and bring in the healthy.

I personally really liked this article. I enjoyed the author's voice. He was insightful yet witty, which made the article a bit easier to read. It is very clear to me that McKibben is passionate about the global climate crisis. However, while I did like the writing, I wished that there was more linking. For instance, while quoting President Obama, why not add a link to a video clip of his speech. I did like the embedded clip of President Nasheed's clip, but since the bulk of the article was about Obama, I believe some outside resources including him are necessary.

I am not an activist for the climate crisis, but after reading this article I feel I should. President Nasheed's quote really stuck with me. It was very powerful.

“By 2050 he’s talking about 80 percent reductions—but 2050 is so far away as to be almost meaningless without strong interim targets. By 2020 the bill he’s ... More »

In my opinion, this is semi-quality journalism. While Ginny Mies does go into great detail about the new Zune HD, there are few links to outside sources allowing readers to learn more about the new product. In fact, the only three links included in the article lead to Mies' affiliate website, pcworld.com. What I would have liked to see is a link to the official Microsoft Zune website to learn even more about the product, or even a link to the Zune HD's Amazon.com, page if applicable, to learn more about ordering info.

Though I would like to see more links in the article, I believe Ginny Mies did do a great job of informing the readers about the new Zune HD, after reading the article, I am even more excited about the new generation in the Zune family!
