Before Web design, I directed the Editorial Art department at the Mercury News during the five years that closed my 20-year career in newspapers. I went from blue pencil and paste-up as an artist at the Chicago Tribune, to Mac-jockey artist at the O.C Register, to artist and art director at the Merc. I learned how to report, research, write and design for graphics, skills that still serve me well, in Web design. I still follow the news, my daily addiction. I subscribe to my old paper, the Mercury News.
I'm a Digg user, a Mercury News subscriber, and former MN editorial staff. I read about NewsTrust in my morning edition, which contained an incorrect url by the way (newstrust.com). I enjoy Digg, but have always been annoyed by the typical asinine behavior encouraged by anonymity there. This is my first story review here. Best wishes for success!
