I think that this is ok journalism because the topic is extremely interesting an dwell written, but at the same time, there isn;t enough information to really grasp the complete and total story.

I personally love to read stories like this, not because of the violence of course, but these topics of "cannabalism" itself is very interesting. I just can't understand what would make a person want to eat another human being, for no reason.

“Police believe the man used the Internet to search for a person who wanted to commit suicide and would agree to let him eat the body. A Swiss citizen initially ... More »

This is good journalism because the article is interesting but still well-written. The journalist went into detail about what is happening and I really felt the sincerity in the writing.

I think that this rape epidemic is truly disturbing and that the U.S should do more to somehow help stop this from occurring so much. The sad part is that I believe we should be helping them when in reality we have a big issue with rape here too.

“There is a culture of impunity here,” said Emilie Reiser More »

This is good journalism because it is strongly sourced and and really well written. This is also a very interesting topic extremely debatable. This is also a good example og good journalism because it isn't bias and has voices from both sides.

This topic really left me in aw. I know about the Cholera epidemic that was happening in Haiti, and how devastating the conditions where but now to make matters worse they are deporting Haitians who where deported out of Haiti back, in these horrific conditions. I agree and ask for "democracy now" because these people don't deserve to die.

“The walls of the detention center here were covered in feces and vomit, and the bathrooms weren’t working, so men had to go to the bathroom in trash bags. And these ... More »

This is good journalism because the content is clear and is backed up by quotes and thorough research. The story had a really good flow and the linguistics were right on track.

This topic is really interesting to me not only because it is the region I'm focusing on but because the twist and irony of the story itself. These helpless people are living in tents barely getting by day to day and they are forced out into homes. You would assume that living in a home would be allot better then living in a tent but the twist is that when they are moved from the homes they are forgotten about and are not offered the same help as they would be for the tents.

“We have been relocated, yes, but the situation is the same,” said Michellange Bourdeau, 38. “In the middle of the road others could see us, but where we are now, no ... More »

  • Is College Worth It?

Katherine's Rating

This is good journalism because the person did their research and the majority of information is based on findings and quotes.

I thought that this information was really interesting. I wouldn't say it changed my mind to not go to college because I believe that education is key to success; but it did make me stop and think about why I was going there for a minute.

“Nearly every parent surveyed (94%) says they expect their child to attend college, but even as college enrollments have reached record levels, most young adults in ... More »

This is not good journalism at all because it lacks way too much information and it's poorly written; and the information is scattered.

I personally would't recommend this story, the title seemed really informative the the actual content was not impressive.

No actual quotes. More »

I believe this journalism is good because It's well written but not drug out. There is are three videos that also complimented the article very well.

This article is important I think esp. to me because the elections is something my family take part in each year and I like to keep updated with what is new and what the president now has to say to defend his place and gain votes.

“We’re doing this now because the politics we believe in does not start with expensive TV ads or extravaganzas, but with you — with people organizing block-by-block, ... More »

This is good journalism because there are allot of different prospectives and the article doesn't seem biased at all. The content was clear and well written.

I wonder why these drug problems continue to get worse and worse each year. it seems to me that the government "tries" for the most part to stop the "big" problems but so many continue to develop it's hard to keep faith that the issue will actually ever resolve.

I believe this is good journalism because the article was un-bias and every point that was made and said was properly cited.I also think it was good because there was a view of both Gaddafi's prospective and US ambassador's.

I personally think that Gaddafi needs to step down for the good of his country and himself. He has too much power and I think this article clearly shows his state of mind and his position as a "leader".

I think this is good journalism because it was well written and cited properly. THere was no bias and it was informative.

Because this article is connected to my region; Central America and the Caribbean, this article was very helpful in keeping me updated on the changes occurring in Haiti.

Bien-Aime’s letter was sent to media in two versions, one French and the other Haitian Creole. The French version says: “The Government of the Republic gives ... More »

I think this Journalism is good because it's not only focusing on one governor; there is allot of information about the present and what's to come.

I think that there is allot of government spending and allot has to be done at this point to help he economy as a whole but not much is actually happening.

“For the governors currently putting their states under the knife, it’s too early to tell which category they’ll fall into.” More »

I think the the connection between the affects of Japan impacting the middle east is very interesting. I think that this article did a good job in cleaning some of the questions.

“The military conflict in Libya, which has brought oil production in the North African country to a standstill, was also weighing on sentiment. The Korea ... More »
