I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, where I learned the importance of the civic freedom to disagree. I graduated from Brown University in 2009, completing an independent concentration in Music & Mind. That taught me how to read and write, and it showed me the awesome responsibility held by those who control the discourse.
I joined NewsTrust because I believe in it. The media message is so confusing and distorted that we need each other to help sort it out.
I am interested in adapting the old media models to the new normal of the Internet age. I don't think it's a daunting task to rescue media and civic institutions that have been threatened by the new paradigm. It's just a matter of adjusting to new ways of thinking about information, which are common sense to me, as someone who grew up alongside the new media.
