I draw my inspiration from 6 years of training in Soto Zen Buddhism, under the guidance of many wonderful teachers, including Tenshin Reb Anderson and Toni Packer, and 5 years of training in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) with founder Dr. Marshall Rosenberg and trainers John Kinyon and Robert Gonzales, among others.

I joined NewsTrust because I want to work towards a peaceful world where everyone's needs are equally valued and met with complete compassion. I believe that Newstrust's mission of creating a home for "news you can trust", news selected for its relevance and journalistic integrity, and the forum it offers, wherein people of many different backgrounds and political beliefs can comment on the articles presented, both contribute to that vision.
