This article provided several credible sources. One specific example was the NOAA, which provided an estimate as to how many tornadoes hit on Wednesday. This article also quoted President Obama and a mayor several times. President Obama was quoted saying that the government will be aiding in the recovery process. Although I believe that this article was good, it did repeat some aspects of the story such as when it discussed the number or tornadoes that occured, and when it discussed Obama's actions--At first it broadly said that the government would help, then it quoted Obama saying, more specifically, "I want every American that's been affected by this disaster to know the federal government will do everything we can to help ... This article is very factual and well-written. This is a good and bad thing. I was not able to follow some parts of what I was reading, however, it is a very relevant and current topic to discuss. I do believe that more people should have been cited. Without Mfumes own quotes, this article cannot be verified. I have never heard of this article before so I do not know if I should trust the publication or not. Based on the well-written aspect of the article, I would.

This article was very well written. It started off saying that several people were killed and then backed up that statement with several pieces of evidence throughout the article. In addition, it provided credible sources such as the National Climatic Data Center, when stating these facts about where the catastrophes occurred, and how many people lost lives in each State. Furthermore, even when this artcle stated that a child was severely inurjered, it stated that they received this information from the statement, to justify their credibility. I believe that this piece is very relevant because people want to know how the weather is affecting other people's lives around the world.

Although some credible sources are noted in this article, I believe that since this is such an important and pressing issue, all the sources should be substantial and credible. I did think this article was relevant and important, however, I do not know how trustworthy it is because of the lack of credible sources. For instance, when the article talks about "Many Egyptians believe he abused his position to profit handsomely on the back of the public", it does not state a particular person saying this, so it could not be true. In addition, "the detentions of top figures represent a victory for the secular groups that had organized renewed protests to press the issue" was quoted by Professor Sayyid. It does not state his ... More »

I believe that this article was interesting and credible. It is useful to find out the reasoning as to why the FDA is proposing this law and I believe that this article accomplished this by providing credible sources such as Mike Taylor who is the FDA deputy commissioner for foods. In addition, Margo Wootan was quoted. She is the director of nutrition policy at the advocacy group Center for Science in the Public Interest. Furthermore, this article provides solid numbers, as to when this law will take place, as well as how many institutions are going to be adding the calories to their menu. The only problem that I encountered while reading this article is that, towards the bottom, it says Dawn Sweeney said the calorie ... More »

I believe that this article represents good journalism because of the extensive detail that is included throughout the article. For instance, there is a study that is referenced in this article, and dates are referenced from previous disasters, such as the one that occurred in 1986. In addition, several credible sources are mentioned; including Jim Smith who is an environmental physicist at the the University of Portsmouth. This article also provides data from the International Atomic Energy Agency. Although I believe that this article is well-researched and thorough, I also believe that the wording is somewhat challenging to comprehend if one is not aware of technical terms. If this article were to change in any way, I ... More »

For the most part, I believe that this article is good journalism. The editor had several credible sources to back up the information he was providing in the article. The writing, on the other hand, was somewhat confusing at times. For instance, i noticed that there were a few run-on sentences in the beginning of the article and scattered throughout. Furthermore, the article had some ambiguity when discussing the two workers who died due to workers using "hand-mixed uranium in stainless steel buckets, instead of processing by machine" this idea was stated at the beginning of the article, as well as towards the end. Overall, I found this article to be very informative.

I believe that this article has some interesting factors associated with it. It discusses the many different aspects that the Parade encompassed, such as the span of where the parade took place, the types of people and groups who were involved in the parade, and important politicians who were present. I think there should have been more credible sources in this article. I noticed more references to children in the crowd, rather then respectable people to validate what the editor was writing about.

I believe that this article represents good journalism because it is well sourced. For any example or belief stated in the article, it is backed up by saying where they retrieved this information from, or which credible person said this. For example, the quote "When compared to 49 other countries around the globe, the United States ranks 41st in the likelihood that a high school student will be taught by a teacher who majored in science in college, according to David E. Drew, a professor at the Claremont Graduate University in California who has written a book on STEM." is backed up by a, what seems to be, very credible source

I do not believe this source is a good form of journalism. For instance, they did not source information well. When it says "it says in an editorial," on page 2, it does not say which editorial the information was taken from. In addition, it says the lady was going 82 miles per hour and the delivery van was only going 9 miles per hour. This is forcing us to take the editors word for. Because of these examples, this source is not credible. Moreover, it is not fair to Barak Obama when the article states that he is unaware of all that is happening here. Since the editor said this, it leads readers to believe he is not doing his job to the best of his ability.
