Rev. Amos Brown is on the show to promote his community awareness service and inform the viewers what is to be expected. This is a very relevant topic because it deals with the recent court decision over the Mehserle case. Simply said, it's a case over a cops reason to kill a man at a BART station. Rev. Brown's program is to and provide all communities awareness and support of cultural tensions. The goal is to let everyone know that there is support and what everyone can do to create a community. This is the kind of news that 7Live is all about, it challenges the community on community issues and welcomes the Bay Area to get involved.

In relation to 7Live, this is good journalism. They present a very current topic for San Francisco and the Bay Area. The World Series victory over the Texas Rangers is and will be one of the most memorable victories in San Francisco history. The conversation couldn't have been with anyone better than the Giants president, Larry Baer. Someone that has been with the organization for a while and has seen the trails and tribulations that make up Giants. There have been a lot of news about the win, but having a one-on-one is great.

Having the first world series title in San Francisco history, this is very relevant and a topic that will be spoken about for some time to come. With amazing performances from the whole team around, no article can depict the epic-ness that was done. One of the main players, Edgar Renteria, was the hero for a couple of the games and reading about his feats don't give him justice. The author shows that this wasn't Renteria's first at bat in a high-pressure situation, he's won a world series back in '97, but being the circumstance that this one was, I think it's a much greater victory.

Overpaid athletes and actors has been an issue but not too many have said much about it. I know that when I see a contract of 4 years and they get $50 million dollars, I just don't understand. They are merely entertainers, I know that clowns don't get paid nearly as much as a kicker for a football team, yet the kicker is well off. The author doesn't have much supporting evidence except from what he, and I'm sure everyone else, have seen. People know about either athletes or actors and the insurmountable amount of money they make and can relate that some professions are taken for granted and no recognized for the work they actually do.

The article shows that not all big companies are crooks. Google is always striving for innovation and this time they are putting aside their work and allowing another group to expand. With the $5 million dollar donation, Google is saying there is untouched land in the journalism field and with the help of the Knight Foundation, they plan to discover it. Alberto Ibargüen said, that Goolde doesn't want to take control over the project, they want Knight to take control and do what they've been doing, just more of it.

Marijuana is and will remain an issue for California and Mexico. Full legalization is far from happening and this article talks about that very well. The author went to some extremes to get the information needed to make this article worthy. Interviewing multiple sources with varying backgrounds gave this article more than one side to favor.

Getting all the information provided must have been challenging. I think getting any specific information about the situations in each country would have been dangerous for the reporter and the well being of each country. Without a doubt, the necessary information was provided. The only thing I don't understand is even with all the proof of his U.S. citizenship, why was he still deported? If only we knew more about what went on in our government.

Whenever elections are around, the stereotypes of politics are revamped. People start speculating on who's the biggest crook of them all and how who's involved. Most cases it's a good thing there is such dispute over politics, it keeps people on their toes and the rest of us informed. This article doesn't throw stereotypes at me, but they do come to mind when read.

I think it's safe to say that the article brought up old stereotypes of the rich, or what we consider rich. The story brings up obvious depictions that people can have of the rich. According to the anonymous "rich" person $450,00 is the new working class income....interesting, so how is everyone else making less than six figures surviving? This article reminds people of the stereotypes of the rich, especially in this case, reinforce them.

Jon Stewart is one of my favorite television hosts and his comic relief is what keeps most of us sane. He lets it be ok to laugh at ourselves and others, in ways that would not be acceptable. He does make quality "connections" to news stories but some are far fetched.

This article leaves us with a question to ask of ourselves. We realize that we are committing these obstructions to society but will we do anything about it. Appiah makes a good point about tradition, in order to improve our society we will need to converge traditions and when possible toss out bad traditions.

It is very nice to see that "tinkerer's" are not something of the past and in fact they are probably our future. Seeing how Nike of all companies, released more than 400 patents, I can only see progress in the near future. I think that it's very true when Johnson say's we need to "see more parts on the table" in order to progress, not only scientifically but efficiently.

The article was overall good but I was expecting more detail. Being such the topic that it is, I wanted to learn more than what was given about the who, what, when, where and why. I'd like to know more about these minerals and why there is a race for them.

As I read the title of the article, I was expecting some exciting news, something everyone could participate in, but I was wrong. The article was, in my opinion, aimed towards the wealthy, although with such progress it is reassuring that science and technology have started to reach a level of space travel for consumers. There could have been a little more detail on the companies personal involvement on the "space taxi" campaign but after reading there have already been space travelers, this is exciting news.
