Putting aside the high emotional tone of this piece the facts remain. The EPA does not want to do its job even when the Supreme Court holds its feet to the fire. I can understand and relate to the emotions articulated.

The Army shouldn't be using this gas in the first place but the issue here is Blackwater. Where did Blackwater get the CS gas?

The reviews here make me gravely concerned about reading comprehension in this country. We have 2 reviewers with polar opinions about the article's politics. This opinion article is about the media! He is forecasting "chicken little" news stories, concerning weather anomalies, that will blame global warming. "Slow warming doesn’t make for memorable images on television or in people’s minds, so activists, journalists and scientists have looked to hurricanes, wild fires and starving polar bears instead." I won't recommend the story because it is not interesting.

This is scary. What kind of nation have we, the USA, have become? Why hasn't the "liberal media" in this country reported this story?

While this story read like it has bias, there is an important story here. The first president Bush surprise me by this tactic. That was a real strech of the truth. President George W Bush has overstepped his authority many times so I have reason to believe he will do it again. Watch for the dirt in the near future.

Show me the letter and let me decide for myself. That is where this reporter failed. The comments below the story are posted by right-wing Clinton haters inserting spin and outright lies. Show me the letter with its date.

The CSM is a reliable source. I do wish they named another source or two. The media does sensationalize stories. That's why I know more than I want to about Paris & OJ. Is mass-media too embarrassed to report this version of the story?

He ought to have present information about the response when a conservative is presented with the dilemma he lays out. The best the conservatives can do is say the ANNUAL deficit this year is only spending $160 billion dollars more than will be received as revenue. Few are publishing the actual national debt figure. When it all adds up Bush White House has almost doubled the National debt from $4 trillion in 2000. The debt weakens the dollar.

Also in SF are stories of families denied boarding a plane because their infant or toddlers' name was "on the list." I do wish the author cited similar cases to let the readers know how frequent this is. It took Senator Ted Kennedy 2 months to get off the do not board list and he has clot.

It appears to me that Mr. Giuliani wants the discount, not Moveon.org This is like flying standby on an airplane; sometimes you get on and sometimes you don't. Other people have rated this story based upon the issue it raises and not on the article.

I see people rating the policy more than the story. The article is succinct with the issue. The story never said gerrymandering was invented by Tom Delay; nor did it say it was abused by him. Gerrymandering is done by both parties after a census. Tom Delay did take the abuse to a new level. I agree with the author that the electoral college should be eliminated. Gerrymandering should also be eliminated or have stricter rules that is fair to all parties and, especially, to the population.

This is a right wing opinionated blog. This is the type of story Fox news would carry and claim it is fair & balanced news. It is slanted with no attempts to be balanced.

Ann Wright has impeccable credentials (29 years in the Army and a US diplomat for 16 years). A person is not a criminal for protesting. It would be more informative to know the exact nature of the crimes (tresspassing, blocking traffic, disturbing the peace???). It is shallow of the Canadian government not to distinguish non-violent misdemeanors. This "crimes" commited should also be in the computer. There is a large difference between a convicted murderer and the various types of misdemeanors. This is not a black & white world.
