There's good news in here, especially in the first half of this article. Towards the end, the biases shine through and it begins to look a little "yellow."

Member (since September 2010)I am a recent graduate of American University with a degree in International Studies. This degree was focused in several areas - Peace and Conflict Studies, African Regional Studies, and French Language Studies. Over the past few years, I have become seriously engaged in the concept and realities of human rights in developing countries. This summer I assisted a UN Human Rights Committee Member in preparation for the 99th Session by researching and writing memorandums on human rights violations of states parties under the ICCPR and preparing questions for state report hearings. My work now brings me back to domestic issues, as I am currently working to create and champion a Congressional Youth Caucus powered by a Youth Empowerment Coalition of DC organizations. I have joined NewsTrust in order to engage more actively my news consumption.

Human testing is not new, true. But a good journalist never ceases to reveal the whole story, even 50 years after the fact.
If you haven't been following French foreign policy during the recent North African peoples' movements, this is a good place to start. The BBC takes a frank look at the motives behind France's drive to aid Libya, and places the story in the broader context of Franco-African relations. It does a fine job identifying the key players in the french bureaucracy and expands upon their positions.
The US mainstream media largely ignores issues surrounding our human rights reports to the UN. It draws attention to states' rights issues surrounding international human rights accords. The Arizona immigration controversy must be mentioned to the UN given that the law violates such treaties and conventions to which the US is a party. Finally, the article draws attention to the growing movement of certain right-wing activists in this country to withdraw US membership in the UN.
