Disclosure; I'm the Erik Larson that found the document at NARA. Fenton has a knack for finding details in the 9/11 Commission and other records and putting them together in a larger context. The big picture is far different from what the opinion and policy makers would have the public believe, even based on their own sources.

it's not "journalism" per se, as it's a press release; imho, it's a good use of the new media to respond to misinformation and misrepresentation
this is a blog post i wrote in response to these events: Scholars for 9/11 Truth & Justice Rejects Association with Directed Energy Weapons and Mini-Nukes in Draft Bill http://911reports.wordpress.com/2008/10/23/scholars-for-911-truth-justice-rejects-association-with-directed-energy-weapons-and-mini-nukes-in-draft-bill/

I wrote this article; it's a summary of some of FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds' allegations, her attempts to get hearings and investigations, and of our government and media's response. While I am not "objective" as I support hearings and investigation into the substance of her allegations, I feel I have given a useful overview of key events and information- including responses by various government agencies and representatives. The article is 1 page, followed by 2 timelines; one documenting the various actions taken by Edmonds and the US government, and another documenting some of the significant media coverage.
These 14 points, which NIST and FEMA assert as fact, actually contradict their own explanations of the destruction of the world trade center towers- read and see for yourself if you agree. The 5 authors are known for challenging the official explanations and advancing the theory that explosives brought down WTC 1, 2 & 7. In any case, now that the article has been published in a mainstream, peer-reviewed scientific journal, there will be debate in the scientific community about the meaning of these 14 points.
Seems like a fair, honest look at the results of Zogby's poll, told readers what the questions were and the different responses given, noted and commented on the demographic backgrounds of the people according to the different answers.

this is an important story- the Bush Administration was continually hyping the 'Al Qaeda/Bin Laden' boogeyman spectre of another 9/11, even while their own CIA, which was torturing prisoners, possibly IN ORDER TO extract false confessions/false info on plots, was telling them another 9/11 was extremely unlikely. Fear and war mongering Democrats and Republicans need to be called out on this. Tom Ridge needs to be questioned about this as well, as the article points out- plus, he ... More »
