I do not think this is good journalism at all. I think that this piece was not unbiased at all and it only specified all of the negatives on the subject. It did not offer any quotes or expertise on the matter and it touched on many numbers but didn't have any information or sources to back it up. Also, I think that having no links really took away from the piece because it wasn't that credible to begin with and it didn't give any links to direct the audience anywhere else to find out more information.
Now that I look back I see that it is in fact an editorial. I think now I wouldn’t be as harsh as I was. I think that that was the point to be a bit biased and that it was strictly based on fact and didn’t need any quotes or sources. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
I think that this is a pretty interesting piece. I think it was okay journalism. I think this could have made for a great article and instead it was very short and didn't really offer much important information. I think the author basically stated the fundamentals of the organization, but didn't touch base on anything else. I think while it was a short piece, it did offer a good source and the author was consistent throughout. Not bad overall, could have been a bit longer.

I do think that this is good journalism. I think that while it isn't a very large piece of a text it offers great insight into when people will be able to use the slots. I thought for a very short piece it offered two great sources that added depth and answers to the story. It was easy to read and insightful. Finally, I thought that the author did a nice job adding links to the story, as well.
I thought that this article offered great journalism! There were tons of sources that had great quotes and there were links that were included in the piece as well. The statistics that were included I thought added great detail and insight into the story and allowed the readers to see the credibility of the piece. All in all, great work!
I agree! I think this is great text. The story is very insightful and gives great information. I think that the sources show that the publication is credible and that the information is accurate and true. One piece of criticism that I will include is that for such a long piece of text, the article could have offered some links that could have led them to different articles that relate to the piece.

I think this is very good journalism. I think that it offered both sides of the story and the writer remained unbiased. While I think the author did do a good job, I do think that links should have been included. When a reader follows this story they want to be relocated to different links so that they can read up some more on the subject. I also thought the title was very appropriate because it was short and got right to the point and told the audience exactly what it was about.
While I think that the writer did a fairly good job on writing this actual piece of work I do not think that this would be considered good journalism for many reasons. Yes, the author did remain unbiased and stated both sides of the story however, there were no quotes or any experts that were included in this piece. While this piece did show me two different sides of the story in depth, I really wasn't impressed with the credibility of the piece.
I think this is good journalism however, at times I feel like this work was a bit all over the place. It offered great insight, but it didn't just stick to one topic so I found it to be a little bit confusing. It did have some pretty good quotes and experts that were cited. I do think that the title was a bit wordy and could have been cut down a little bit.
I think this is great journalism. We spoke about this last class, but we were all wondering why this was not published sooner by other publications. It inlcluded plenty of factual information and inlcuded sources as well. It inlcuded experts like Joe Schilling the professor of urban affiars and planning at Virgina Tech and others, well. It was written very well and also very thorough. Overall, I thought it was a job well done.
I feel as though while this is OK journalism, it doesn't really offer great sources. I feel as though the writer could have maybe went even further and retrieved more feedback. What about quotes from the family who was related to the young girl? Overall, It was well written, just could have used maybe better sources.

I think that links could have been incorporated such as the towns that this is occurring in as well as “Red Star Grill.” For me, that just would have added a bit more just in case I wanted to be redirected. I do think that other sources could have been included to spice up ... More »
