The Republican Party was thrown out of office last November for governmental incompetence, in my opinion. It appears that the Democratic activists are not waiting for the next election to demonstrate to the "servants of the people" where their orders come from.

Ron Paul is in the right place at the right time. This extended first-person report indicates that Paul appeals to the far left (Kos Kidz). He is also loved by the far right (http://pajamasmedia.com/ click at top right on "Presidential Straw Poll, then "Results.") The vast middle doesn't know him or his positions, but that may change if he gets support from both ends of the spectrum!

The author has selected an interesting topic, relevant for most readers. It is well-referenced with links. He has an effective writing style, and provides information that makes it understandable and relevant even for those only weakly interested in science. It is deliberatly brief, with depth available through the links.

The author clearly separates his opinion from the source material. He has and expresses strong opinions, but I have followed this story for considerably more than a year, and I believe his conclusions are justified, based on background material.

The FDA is currently deciding whether to regulate "nutritionals" (vitamins, minerals, etc.). This article appears to be aimed at favorably influencing that decision. It also is a relatively naked request for more government funding.
