Head-on attack of Presidential candidates' tap dance with the plain truth in a well-reasoned and inclusive insight.
Why do I get the feeling that Coulter will soon be shaving her head and proclaiming herself the antichrist? Good critical opinion that didn't wander into a rant.
I feel very small, or in the words of Douglas Adams, "Space is big - really big - you just won't believe how vastly, hugely mind-bogglingly big it is. You may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."
"Dowd was not alone, of course; she merely reflected the conventional idiocy of the times (and the Times), along with many, many others." A fairly straight-forward dope slap to the media -- not that it isn't deserved.
OK, I'm a sucker for the collision of really good writing and really good reporting that leaves you, in the end, a slightly different person. Perhaps my own perspective of being a transplant in the South makes this article resonate, but it sure seems like Moser makes a well-reasoned case for a new political reality.
It is especially good because it shows the interaction of an academic itch to be scratched, media and special interest spin, and citizen journalism. Plus, the subject is both challenging and pretty darn strange. Good stuff.
Impressive mix of personal accounts, government sources, and academic observations -- without fear of making it all personal.
It provides a revealing condensation of Hegel's world view and cleverly applies the principles to George W. Bush's actions. I can't say that I have ever seen Hegel applied to Bush before -- but, this article does in an amusing and telling way.
