Founding Member (since April 2006)I'm tired of lame journalism. I don't like the projection of neutrality through formal duality of perspective. I think the Daily Show is at it's best when offering the most devastating contemporary critiques of the major news media.

"Senator Hillary Clinton-whom left-wing bloggers vilify almost as much as they do Lieberman". It's an analysis piece, predictably short on citations or quotations. The thrust of the article is that senators who don't conform to their party's ideology may lose elections, following the widely commented upon trend of "polarization". The twist that merits an news article is the assertion that this trend will not be strategic manuevering from the top, but a case by case local readjustment. The story of Joe Lieberman is no more exciting than the man himself, and the few new nuggets in the article would be better shown by (for example) actual interviews with the Conneticut delegates who supported Lamont.
The is simply a microphone for the public figures quoted. I would have liked more info: what kind of rockets does Hezbollah use? What is their range? Are his threats credible? Which aid groups have complained? What access is Israel providing? Why doesn't Israel want to do what the aid organizations are asking?
The article didn't explain why there has been a sudden rise in murders (we are left to assume it is from lack of police power) or the nature of the types of crimes on the rise in new orleans. The only sources are local politicians hanging out vacous/trivial statements.
It's too bland to be an editorial and to meager to be an article. This story simply recounts what has been in the news for the past year about the Plame case.
Using the phrase "wedge issues" ten times won't win you the Pulitzer this time... Dobbs establishes his credibility with conservatives by using affective words to describe his reactionary positions: "illegal aliens *flood*", "*drowning* in debt", "war against *radical* Islamist terrorists". With this trick he can to attack the GMA (scoring with liberals) without losing conservatives. This "article" smacks of the politico's middle-ground calculations to maximize votes, or in this case, site hits.
interesting example of an illegal immigrant's life in america and possible ramifications of upcomming legislation. Could have a more detailed information about the possible legislation.
