Pretty straight forward story regarding McCain's position on wiretapping overseas communications. Gets quotations from all sides as to whether his position has changed.
Well balanced analysis of the thesis that the foreign policies of Obama and McCain are reflecting of their early lives and histories.
Thought provoking and historical analysis of the last 40 years of the Republican party and why it is where it is. One tenet of the article is that they are better at winning elections than governing. It you hate government, then you probably won't work very hard at making it competent. Then you get Katrina. Whhen th country faces major problems, they look to government for solutions. That's an ideological problem for the Republican party today. Very well-sourced and researched article.
Interesting analysis of the possible future of the web. The article points out the continual battle to keep the web competitive and free market and attempts by corporations like Microsoft to gain a non-competitive monopoly.
Really interesting and informative question and answer session with Senator Obama. I think the questions were well thought out, and the answers show Obama's intellect and ability to see foreign policy as nuanced and not all U.S. and Israel good - Muslim world bad.
I guess I like this story because I really agree with his perspective and it's nice to see the media talk about how America is not number 1 in the world anymore. Somehow in the past couple of decades we've slipped to a second class nation and I agree that Americans can understand this.
Hard to tell if the story is fair or not, since it is predictive in nature. After the vote is in, we will know whether the writrs was off-base or not.
I had heard tidbits about the Reynolds relationship to Clinton. This story provided more information about Reynolds. If people are going to understand Barack Obama, they also need to understand more about black ministers and black churches. I'd like to see more black media people speak up about this issue, because I'll admit I'm woefully ignorant myself.
I enjoyed this story, as it provided me with new information about Hillary Clinton. It wasn't just a rehash of some old arguments with opinion, but provided actual information regarding reaction to certain gaffes
Mainstream media has been too afraid to take the racist tactics of the Clintons head on. I'm not the first to scream racism, and it is overdone, but one has to really be unable to look reality in the face not to see what is happening.
It seemed factual without use of any trigger words for right or left. Quotes from many diverse sources and points of view.
