Spot on, but quite obvious to anyone who pays even the slightest attention to Fox News and their actions.

Member (since July 2010)I first heard of NewsTrust through a good friend who shares my concern about the direction of modern journalism. News media today focuses entirely too much on sensationalist fluff stories about celebrities behaving badly and on talking heads presenting their frequently baseless and ludicrous beliefs as fact. The world today needs an organization like NewsTrust dedicated to finding and presenting news which is relevant, well-written, objective, and factually based.

Is Karzai's Accusation That Coalition Forces Are Polluting Afghanistan with Nuclear Material Accurate or an Over-Reaction?
Excellent science journalism! The author takes Karzai's claim and assesses it based on the best possible available information from reputable sources. A stellar article!
The author presents an interesting idea, but the article isn't nearly in-depth enough for the reader to make a reasoned assessment of its merits.
This piece, penned by a former senior military interrogator, succinctly puts forward all the argument for why the US should not torture its prisoners of war. A quick and informative read.
This is by no means a damning expose of the tropical forestry industry. However, it does provide a bit of context into the issue of tropical deforestation and the difficulties surrounding the sustainability of the industry.
This is a shocking portrayal of the state of the nuclear power industry in the United States, along with the captured regulatory agency that's supposed to be overseeing it. This article presents a fine example of investigative journalism--it presents a terrifying problem which has been overlooked by the American people with the depth and breadth necessary to serve as a call to action.

Why is it that some of the best investigative journalism in this country is found time and time again in a magazine about rock and roll? Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of respect for Rolling Stone--it's just a little aggravating that we have to rely on a "music" magazine for the type of hard-hitting journalism that our actual news media refuses to provide.
