Founding Member (since April 2007)I studied architecture at the University of Cincinnati and worked in construction management for 25 years. For more than 20 years my interest in social justice has led me to volunteer board positions for many organizations dealing with affordable housing, civil rights, historic preservation, homelessness, neighborhood preservation and similar issues. These volunteer positions led to a career change in 1992 that incorporated affordable housing, advocacy and other issues into my professional life. Today I provide professional consulting and grant writing services to organizations addressing critical social needs.

This report is devastatingly sad and at the same time infuriating. The behavior of the professional school administrators and the school board members can only be described as criminal. The supposedly Christian groups (and Michelle Bachmann) pushing their anti-gay agenda have blood on their hands and they revel in it. Christ, save us from your followers!

The recovery may be slow but the country is moving in the right direction and their rhetoric to the contrary cannot be supported. Ford just reported its most profitable year in 14 years.
Obama is still be criticized by Republicans for supporting the U.S. auto industry. I doubt that any of the workers currently building Chrysler, Ford and GM products think the President did the wrong thing in saving this industry.

Washington state already offers significant protections for gay and lesbian families and those protections have been tested by a vote of the people. It will be interesting to see if they are ready to offer full equality and further the mostly right coast/left coast dynamic on this critical social issue.
No surprise here. The question is, just because Hispanic voters distrust Republicans (with very good reason) will they bother going to the voting booth for Obama who they are less than happy with?

Karl Rove was offended? How tragic! It can mean only one thing. You must watch the Super Bowl ad that triggered his ire!!
