Friend of local reporters, I try to keep myself informed enough to not bore them in conversations. NewsTrust annoys me sometimes because on one hand it encourages us to contribute anything at all, then on the other hand people get rated very poorly for not being Rupert Murdoch or painstakingly answering questions they might not be qualified to answer. Lately I've been seeing a lot more random blogs and specialty digests turning up here, too. Is NewsTrust an elitist variant of Digg now?
