This is very sad that the Hikers are still in prison! This completely goes against the UN Article 6. Iran should not be allowed to hold people that long, especially without a trial. Why hasn't someone done something about this?
It was a pretty interesting article, yet some what confusing if one does not have a general understanding of the topic. I liked how he connected it at first to a real example and then explains how that isn't helping the financial crisis.
It is quality Journalism because the article quotes many different people and add in facts/statistics.
Not really. It is a good visual of what is going on in Australia however says nothing about what is actually happening or what caused it.
It is an Opinion piece that is not cited very well. Although it has some good numbers and seams to be showing a good look into the topic and the potential problems this could be solving. The comments also bring good insight into the topic.
It is quality journalism since they are quoting a major player in the article and giving specific examples.
I think it is interesting that they are just starting to try and use technology in New Zealand schools and then claim they are one of the leaders in Education. In the United States we have been using technology in schools for at least 5 years. I do find it interesting that they think mobile phones are the best way to use technology and not a computer. I wonder what kind of mobile phone they are wanting people to use.
It is quality journalism since there are many quotes from different people connected directly to the topic. There are statistics from polls. And this article is well set up.
It is interesting to see the poll results and then talk to people who live in Johannesburg to see the difference in the answers. One is being led to think that the racism is getting less common in South Africa. This article shows that there are major security issues that could occur.
It has a lot of quotes from the minister of International trade which is good since it is coming right from the source not coming down the grape vine. Also there are some interesting fact about the trade relationship and specific projects starting or about to start.
This article does cite many organizations and people involved in the dispute. It also addresses the Travelers concerns and tries to give evidence of how they are handling the issues for people hopping to come to the World Cup in June/July.
It is shocking how much scientist are able to tell about past times for such little information. I wonder why Tanzania and south Africa have been the sight of so many breakthrough findings.
It is an opinion piece on how well the COP15 meeting went. It lets you in on a few ideas in considering it a flop or not that people may otherwise not have noticed.
It is interesting to see how different countries view the success of the conference. So many people have said it was horrible and that the important issues got buried that week by other small things. It is nice to see that a few countries did think it was a success.
It is good journalism for such a short article since it brings up an issue and why it is important. It then quotes an important person in the UN and gives facts and figures to back up the information.
I'm surprised that there are that many refugees each year that need to be rehoused. It opens my eyes up to how sheltered we are in the United States to some issues.
It is good article since it raises the light on what the EU is planning on doing in which many people probably don't know about. However there aren't very many facts in it lowering its quality.
I think it is interesting that they want to instate something about immigration. Part of why i thought the EU came together was to make it easier to pass between countries of the EU. This is a big confusing as to whether there will be added things now when switching countries.
I would say this is quality journalism since the reporter went and experienced the restaurant first hand, talked with the owner and many customers. There were questions raised in which answers were partly given. Also there are good visuals to better explain the topic.
They stole my idea! haha. I participated in the Bright Green Youth Conferance in Denmark summer 2009. My group came up with the idea to create labels that showed the environmental impact of products. I'm glad to see others have tried to make this a reality. While brainstorming the idea my group hit the same problems they seam to be hitting.

It is sad how much some countries stack things against women still. And here many woman sit in the United States and complain about how poorly off we are. We can pretty much do whatever job we want now (granted some take more effort and struggling than others) however in many other countries they don't have enough education to even do some of what we call the "basic" jobs.
