Being an opinion piece yes I think this does the job. I feel like it brought down a lot of facts backed by opinion but then gives the reader an opportunity to make their own decision.
It was an interesting piece on the senate and voting but it felt a little l=clouded by personal opinion. It seemed like the real story was held back by what was personally thought of about the issue.
Some points I agree with here but I am still confused to the situation happening. In terms of content the average reader unless following religiously will not understand what is happening with this news which obviously has more to it.
Yes it accomplishes its main goal of reporting an incident and perhaps sparking its readers to react or take action in their community.
This is just more proof of how some law enforcemnet is so porrly informed of their duties of law. I hope that these two officers are punished and I hope that law enforcement will make their best efforts to set proper examples for citizens and their fellow law enforcement.
I feel that this is decent journalism I t does a good job of summarizing the events that took place here so the reader in general should feel well informed.
Interesting article I think environmental issues do have a distinct amount of importance but I personally feel it is blown well out of proportion. There are other issues that need to be focused on more than just environmental ones. There is so much conflict among nations I would rather have attention focused there let car companies build their "green" cars but for now environment to me is not very important.
This article is a classic example of culture vs. culture and the clash between the two. To really be able to critically think about this piece one must be willing to accept the differences in others. Bald Eagles are used for religious purposes in some native American cultures and I don't think any other culture has a right to say that they can not continue their religious practices because it does not make sense.
Half and half, good points brought out and backed up by sources but I feel the paradoxical issue could be expanded more by looking at different parts of the country and different situations.
Interesting article but at the same time not very surprising facts that republicans would oppose this and democrats would support it. Scary that health care reform would not support all citizens but at the same time I feel I would have to do more research before I could build a solid opinion.
No because I feel like a lot of the material was trying to be shoved down my throat. Effective journalism is being able to convey your message without having to blatantly say what it is.
Not much to say on this piece which left quite the stale taste in my mouth. Felt like was reading a childish blog on someone who is not a big fan of Obama. For the event itself this was not very newsworthy
Yes because the journalists involved went out and through interviews and basic research they presented the facts. They never once threw in their personal opinion which is refreshing to read.
It is always god to read these pieces on crime because it brings awareness to situations like these. This also conveys how important it is to make sure there is always a plan regardless of wherever to make sure people are safe if a gunman type situation were to occur.
This is quality journalism because at any time Morrissey could have backed every piece of information with personal claims but he does not because there is much greater value in the reader being able to develop their own personal opinions rather than be forced one way or the other.
Interesting to see that housing sales are still dropping with that being said it is a big indicator that the U.S. still has a long way to go when ti comes to economic recovery. Hopefully these issues can be alleviated so a road of progression can soon be built. Lower housing costs mean people are still finding themselves jobless.
Terrible just absolutely terrible piece of journalism which is a stretch identifying this as journalism. Just an offensive opinion piece with facts that seem as if they are pulled right out of no where.
I have to say that I completely disagree with this blog. I question the credibility of the statistics given. None of the statistics were even backed by with sources of where they were obtained from. This blog was more fantasy than it was a reality.
Good report obviously it did its part in reporting the events that took place in this suicide bombing. I also like how Rodriguez tied in the overall argument to the original conflict that is occuring.
Wow is the only words that can come to mind. A poor young kid being brain washed into thinkingt that he is doing a service by becoming a suicide bomber. It is just terrifying to think of all these terrible minds and conflicts that our out there in the world. But is it really surprising? Realistically it is Human Nature to solve things through conflict its almost as if there is no way to stop it.
I felt this was a good piece of journalism described the issue cited sources and was able to give a valid opinion after. It kept its integrity throughout the piece.
I really enjoyed this article as a very good opposing side of globhal warming. I feel all I hear in the media is that Global Warming will kill us all then businesses take advantage of that by claiming that they are going "green' so they can make more money from environmental junkies. This article puts it in perspective that the fact is Global Warming is very exagerated. Although it is important to take percautions wer must understand that we are not on the brink of destruction from ... More »
I think this is a good opinion piece and what is really effective about this posting is that it informs the reader on an issue needing to be addressed. At the same time one must realize that as important as it is, it is mainly opinion based.
I have to say I feel fed up with the cloud of secrecy behind what is happening with the conflicts in the Middle East. I feel like our government functions off hiding information from its citizens without giving us clear information on their true goals. Their hope is that we will just go along with our daily lives but the government underestimates us as citizens to become socially active.
I feel as an opinion blog yes this is a quality piece of work as the author thakes their time to put their insight on an issue concerning them and perhaps others.
Interesting points made on this article, lack of democratic achievement gives the idea that the GOP will take advantage and control in the near future. This is the message I ended up taking from this piece. I would have to say that I agree with this blog I feel that democrats do not have their priority straight causing them to go on a bit of a downward spiral
Good piece stressing an example of howw an American city in some way or another is being revamped for a new economic age.

I am not surprised that this voting has been such a mess. A country can't be forced to have elections and then have them go smoothly. This is another example of a failure to impose our own ambitions on a country who clearly does not share the same thought.
