I am very skeptical about this report. I would feel better if there was more than one source for the article, so for that reason I do not know if I believe it. If there were multiple people close to Mfume saying that he did not plan on running for Mayor, then that would sit better with me that just one person saying it. I'm not buying it.

This is so sad, but the article was very well written. I cant believe someone stood around and video taped this attack instead of using that cell phone to call police! In the same respect though, I do not agree with the transgendered woman using the women's bathroom, but in nobody deserves to be attacked to the point where they are having a seizure.

Alex Glaze Comment:

Bruce- I do not condone violence, but essentially as Gin pointed out, this woman was not supported by law to use the womens bathroom. I may be wrong, but is this treated the same as a man entering the Womens bathroom? I’m not sure. Either way, the brutal beating was unjust and ... More »

I could NEVER live out of my car for four years! That is crazy. I think this article does a decent job painting the picture of their lives and why it has become popular, but I just don't get it.

I like the way this article opened withe the story of Governor O'Malley pulling into the parking lot at BWI. That got me interested in the story, and in turn allowed me to read through the facts of the story and learn something that I did not know. A $400 tax credit is pretty good, but I wonder what your electric bill would look like if you had to charge your car every week or so.

Former President Caret did a lot for Towson University. This article did a good job of highlighting some of the positive things Caret has done during his tenure and getting the perspective of other people who have seen Towson blossom while he has been in charge. Caret has put Towson on the right track and as a Towson student, I hope whoever his successor is continues the work that Caret has started.

Im not surprised that ticket sales are up this year. The Kegasus marketing campaign was perfect. It appeals to a younger audience and will more importantly probably result in more people buying those $20 bottomless mugs. This article was to the point, and provided the necessary information that a reader would expect to get from this article.

Baltimore sports fans are loyal- fact. That was the only thing I took away from this article. The quotes could have been better, and I feel like there could have been a lot more to this story. Burke says that there were over 600 fans there to meet the players of the Colts 1975-77 team but there was no quote with a fan reaction to the event or anything. I think that would have added nicely to the article.

This will be great for the Northwest part of Baltimore. While this does create jobs and will bring in tourists to see the museum, the biggest contribution I thought of went unmentioned in this article. I think that this is a great way to educate people of Baltimore's fine African-America athletes who might otherwise go unspoken of. By educating the community of past ledgends, some may be inspired to follow in their footprints. To me, that is bigger than 85 jobs.

This article gave a very nice overview of the late Mayor William Donald Schaefer's life. He did a lot for the city of Baltimore, and his death is very relevant to locals of the Baltimore area. I thought this article did a good job listing all of his highlights as Mayor and Governor and getting a number of people's perspectives which adds credibility to the article. I dont think that it is necessary to add anything about his death to the story becase this piece is celebrating his ... More »

I have been to many Orioles games, and can definitely attest to the fact that fans in the upper decks get a little out of hand. I thought that this was a good article that was very easily to relate to. When Camden Yards made the price of beer cheaper that soda, they were essentially asking for these types of problems.

This was a very interesting article. I watch the national spelling bee almost every year, and know how challenging some of these words can be. Its nice to hear about positive things like this going on with the youth in Baltimore.

This article was decent, but not very factual. There was a lot of opinion in this article, and not a lot of information to be learned from reading this piece. THe article is relavent though because immigration is an issue and very easy to relate to. In all, I think that the author did not put a lot of effort into this piece. There was a lot more to be said about illegal immigration on a larger scale, and this article was lacking in that regard.

This article was decent, but not very factual. There was a lot of opinion in this article, and not a lot of information to be learned from reading this piece. Why was President Obama brough up in this article? He was mentioned in the beginning of the article, but then not mentioned again until the end. I think that if his name was in the title, and the image shows his merchandice that is sold on the island, he should have been mentioned more in the body of the story. The article ... More »
