Gawande takes a different approach to looking at health care then most other publications. Other publications look at current plans and whether they would help fix the broken health care system; Gawande compares places that are broken and places that work and tries to understand why things are broken. This piece is ground breaking in its portrayal of the state of healthcare in America and where the medical incentives are. It will make you really reconsider how you look at ways to "fix" healthcare.
The end of article mentions that the author has advised for Democrats in the past and the feel of the article is a bit more left leaning. But it more generally talks about the study that was done and what it found which is the main interest.

This is definately a good read about the One Laptop Per Child project and their high level goals. However, the article talks a lot about the laptop itself and the OLPC project, and not enough about the actual 'debate' referenced in the title.
I feel that the overall thesis of the op-ed is not well supported by Mr Kall. He clearly details his opinion of the medias' handling of Mr Gingrich's statements (as an op-ed should), but it feels like a stretch to further extended that to make the claims that MSM is direly broken and in need of repair.
